Cons... Mattresses are way passed gone. My wife and I couldn't sleep. Felt the springs. So close to the main road. Truck route. By far from quiet. Lights from front road sign is super bright at night. And the other cabins have their fire pits and super small picinic tables 25' from road. The rec room is a small two car old garage with worn out games. Most sites are super close. River isn't deep enough for tubing. $7 for a small frappe. Bring your own garbage to dumpster which I'm totally ok with. I just hate their "recycling center" aka shed. You have to hand sort all recyables. You can't dump your boxes of cans in a bin. You have to feed it in one by one. Yuck. The signs were pretty rude in there and in bathroom to. Should be reworded .

Pros. Was a ghost town there this week. Super quiet. Good size 2 bdrm cabin w/screen porch. Clean baths. Nice clean pool. Paul the helper was very awesome.

Checking in was easy and pleasant. Staff is friendly and polite, no reading of rules, just informing about the recycling. Showers seem new and bathrooms are clean. Pool is nice but not heated. The river is too shallow for river tubing. The campground is quiet, highway noise is not noticeable - is a country road and there is not much around. Bring an extention to the a sewer just In case.

My wife and I both grew up camping and love it. Took our 4 year old daughter on her first ever tent camping trip. She loved it and so did we. Great family atmosphere with a nice pool and playground for the kids. Very friendly campers and employees. My daughter keeps asking when can we go camping again. We shall return.

The campground itself is nice and clean, I guess my fiance and I are used to being in the actually "woods" camping. With no actual pictures of the campsites online, We assumed that the camp sites would be good size. They made all the sites very small to fit a bunch of them into a small area.. You could see everyone around you and hear everyone around you. It says 6 people max.. My fiance and I could barely fit in the there comfortably. We would have packed up and left but I already paid for 4 nights there so we were stuck.. Didn't want to take a $30 per night from them plus where we would have went after. There is also no way that 2 tents could fit in the sites, We have a big 12X12 tent and it went from end to end and we had the "big" tent site they said.. She gave us a couple options when we checked in but that was the only one with some woods around it but there is no privacy at all.. If you are camping with a bunch of kids and you want to let them run around on their own then this is the place to bring them. I had people cutting through my camp site when I first got there. There were other people being noisy late at night and they continued all night, We were spoken to about our music twice and no one else was spoken to.

There have been steady improvements along the way also, such as the public restrooms/showers. The built in pool is nice, just a little too chilly for when arrive in mid June. Great open relaxing campground in a nice location.

The good things which we aren't used to is the free hot showers which were very convenient and hot and clean! The Wifi was a plus but I do not need it much but we did use it for music but it was very slow (Says excellent Wifi) Also the river was not suitable for swimming or fishing! It was so shallow and all rocks.. Also the highway was very noticeable I am not sure how people do not think it is.. When you are camping you want to hear crickets and water not trucks going 50mph..

A group of us guys have been coming here for years for our annual New Hamshire golf outing. Michelle, the owner couldn't be gracious and helpful to our needs. Whether it be strolling over to our campfire to see if we need anything, to calling a Golf course to get a discount for us. Which she did again for us this year. Thank you Michelle.

No question we'll be back again next year.

We may go back if it's empty again. Not when busy!!!

Next time I will do more research before I try something new or I will just stick to the White Mountains were we are used to. Or the smaller campground that have more privacy.
